About Supervision

I am a BPS registered Applied Psychology Supervisor and an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapy Supervisor.

I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1983 and worked in the NHS until my retirement from the NHS in March 2019.  By that time, I was the lead psychologist, supervising Band 7 and 8 psychologists as well as trainees.  I also offered frequent case consultation and reflective practice both in a community team for people with learning disabilities and also an adult mental health psychiatric intensive care unit.  I now offer an independent practice and continue to teach on some clinical psychology training courses and provide be-spoke training to other organisations.

In addition to supervising clinical psychologists, I also supervise Cognitive Analytic Therapy trainees and qualified practitioners.  Supervision can be face to face or by Skype.  The Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapists prefers face-to-face supervision in small groups, but for those CAT trainees or practitioners seeking specialised supervision, then the Association is open to discussing long-distance individual supervision.

My fee for supervision is £60.  If you are interested, then email me and I suggest we try out an initial supervision session to see if this would be useful.  I also accept purchase orders directly from organisations such as the NHS or charities.

I receive supervision from a highly experienced UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapists) registered psychotherapist and supervisor.
